The most economical way to make some machines perform to their capacity without buying new replacement equipment is to rebuild the existing equipment. Machines that are less than 15 years old with a working control are usually a good choice.
The term "rebuild" refers to a complete restoration of a machine to its original manufacture specifications. The entire machine and it's components are thoroughly cleaned, inspected and rebuilt, using either new or reconditioned parts or components.

Listed are stages usually performed on rebuilds:
  1. Rebuilding major components including spindles, drawbars, tables and all bearings and seals.
  2. Hand scrape box ways and replacement of linear ways if needed.
  3. Ballscrew repair or replacement with new bearings.
  4. All electrical cables, connections inspected and replaced if needed.
  5. All hydraulic and lubrication lines and hoses are inspected and replaced as needed.
  6. Adjustments of machine geometrics back to OEM specs.
  7. Windows, seals are replaced and machine repainted.
